Ruger Security-9 Compact 

The Ruger® Security-9® Semi-Auto Pistol operates with the same Secure Action used in the LCP II®, delivering a smooth trigger pull with an internal hammer and superior reliability in a small, easy-to-conceal package. An added benefit of the Secure Action system is that it’s easier to rack the slide, compared to a similar size striker-fired pistol.

The pistol’s frame is constructed with glass-filled nylon, and a precision-machined, hard-coated aluminum chassis that contacts the slide with full-length guide rails. The slide is made of through-hardened alloy steel, and features front and rear serrations for improved slide manipulation and control. Dovetailed 3-dot sights offer intuitive target acquisition, while a trigger safety and a manual thumb safety ensure safe, reliable handling.

Features

• Factory-installed Viridian® E-Series™ red (635-650 nm) laser. The laser unit weights just over 1/2 oz with the installed battery and is securely mounted to the rail and trigger guard. The laser features ambidextrous push-button activation.

• Rugged construction with black oxide, through-hardened alloy steel slide, and barrel, and high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame.

• The Secure Action™ used in the LCP® II and Security-9® is derived from the reliable and proven hammer-fired LCP® fire control system. The Secure Action combines the smooth trigger pull of the LCP® with the short, crisp feel and positive reset of a single action.

• Internal, Secure Action™ hammer provides strong ignition force, yet allows for easier slide racking when compared with many striker-fired pistols. Front cocking serrations enable positive slide manipulation.
